About

Socitm Panel
The Socitm Spring Conference, which has been running for 28 years, returns with the aim of supporting over 150 technology and business leaders from local public services to ‘open-up digital’.
Against a backdrop of further budget cuts and continued debate over the development of a common platform for local ICT, the successful application of new ideas and best practice is crucial. How can councils, the NHS, emergency services and third sector bodies ensure they capture the political capital, technical skills and appetite for collaboration, so vital to implementing digital initiatives?

Key issues to be discussed will include:

  • Local public services as a platform: a local GDS, collaboration across regions or a different way forward?
  • Network security: what will follow the PSN and N3?
  • Delivering health and social care reform: how can we ensure local public services are integrated?
  • Workforce development: how can the public sector develop and maintain skilled, multi-agency digital teams?
  • The role of leadership: how are political influences shaping the drive to go digital?
